| The
great Himalayas of Nepal are well known as one of the best destinations
in the world for enjoying the real beauty of the nature. Trekking along
the trails into the interior parts of the country will lead you to
ancient foot trails that you will always remember for the scenic
river-banks, terraced fields, forested ranges and mountain villages. Trekkers
may walk along the rough but beautiful trails in the lap of green and
friendly looking hills. You will be impressed by the rhododendron
filled green dark and deep forests with different seasonal flowers
blossoming, domestic and forest animals, varieties of birds,
monasteries, temples, mountain landscapes and the warm greetings from
smiling local people. |

| Kalapathar
- Gokyo Trek (18 days) |
The region top of the world, Everest, Sagarmatha in Nepali
and Chomolungma in Tibetan, is a popular destination for trekkers,
explorers and climbers. It is also famous for its Sherpa villages,
monasteries and culture. Trekking in this area varies in 5 days
trekking to month long among them Everest Base Camp Kalapathar and
Gokyo lake treks are very popular. Fabulous sceneries and social life
of Sherpa villages are another attraction of this region. Further
attraction is Sagarmatha National Park for those people who are
interested in the wildlife. The route passes through spectacular
forests of blooming rhododendron in March April, blue pine and firnfo
on trek.
Trekking in Everest region is breathtaking and requires
a good walking experience and a good physical health condition. This
trek is a very interesting walking with its panoramic view of Everest
(8848m), Cho Oyu (8152m), Lhotse (8516m), Makalu (8463m) and Ama Dablam
(6456m). Through the famous Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar we reach
Tengboche Buddhist Monastery, Khunde, Khumjung etc. We pass through
settlement of mixed ethnic groups like Brahman, Chhetri, Magar and
Tamang in the lower region and Sherpa villages in the highland of
Solukhumbu Everest region.
Imjatse base camp is situeted at
Pareshaya Gyab (5087m), between Imja Tse and the Imja Glacier. There
can occur avalanches in case of heavy snow fall. It would be better to
establish high camp for safe climbing. The climbing starts from south
west ridge or north ridge.
